Welcome to the Bearcat Discovery Center Preschool!
Our early childhood program is designed specifically for children ages 3 to 5 years old. As a vital part of the Union Hill School District (UHSD) family, our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment where your child can foster a lifelong love of learning, build foundational social-emotional skills, and grow their unique independence.
We work to empower young children, promote individuality, and develop strong partnerships with families to support their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional milestones. We are excited to help your preschooler develop:
- A positive self-image, healthy self-esteem, and a deep respect for others.
- Problem-solving and creative thinking strategies to use when exploring hands-on materials or resolving conflicts with friends.
- Healthy habits, physical milestones, and self-regulation through structured routines, music, movement, and outdoor play.
- Initiative to explore, discover, create, and share their unique voice within a responsive classroom community.
